He really doesn’t have a style. He doesn’t think about what he wears because he has never really been able to chose his clothes. His wardrobe is filled with unwanted clothes and hand me downs. He wears a saint Christopher medal under his clothes. He is not even remotely religious but the medal itself was something his mother bought for him when he was born. Dylan has several scars, a result from the abuse he suffered. These are covered at all times. Luckily the majority are on his back and they are easier to hide.

History:
Life was never easy for Dylan, his family was less than perfect. His mother suffered from bipolar disorder and his father was an unkind man. When Dylan was six his mother committed suicide. His father’s drinking. This is not something Dylan talks about, ever. No one knows, and the boy will never admit that the abuse went beyond just physical and emotional when he turned eleven. Though it is hard to associate the word lucky with Dylan he did have a small amount of luck. If he had been given a different teacher he may never have gotten out of that situation. He took notice of Dylan’s behaviour, the way he carried himself and the bruises he tried to hide. He was the one that reported the abuse, Dylan hates him for that because the boy didn’t want anyone to know what happened. Luckily the big secret was kept.
He was twelve when he was put in his first foster home, he was only there for two months before he was placed with another family. His second family was a loving caring family who lived on a farm. The family had two other foster children, both younger girls. The family also had horses and Dylan began to ride. It was one of the first things he loved, it made him feel free and normal. The problem was Dylan was not normal, he still suffered from the past abuse he experienced and he struggled with the pain. Dylan had always had outbursts of anger, but they seemed to escalate. When Dylan flipped out on his younger foster sister and began to trash the living room. He didn’t mean for anything to hit her but she got in the way of a book. Though his foster parents cared for him they could not have him around the two girls. That was what he was told, he still believes that did not care for him and got sick of trying to fix him.
Things escalated from the outbursts became more frequent and they turned into fights. He in the end got expelled from two schools for fighting. He ended up in front of a judge, due to the past trauma the judge was easy on him. Sending him to Willow Brooke as a final chance. If he is expelled he will be sent to juvie.

Nathan unlocked the door to his apartment swinging the door open and stepping inside. Dropping his bag by the door and locking up he headed towards his computer. He picked up the picture that he had left next to his computer the night before. The picture was of a camping trip he and his parents went on when he was four. The photo was of Nathan and his father smiling as they stood by the tent they had just put up. It was the only photo Nathan had of his father, his mother had destroyed most of them and cut his face out of the pictures that had Nathan in them. The camping trip was barely a month before his father left and it had not been developed. Years ago Nathan had found the undeveloped film and got it developed.
He never told his mother about the photo, he never told anyone. He was attached to the photo and honestly he didn’t know why. His father had left! Nathan had a great child, ok school wasn’t exactly a good experience. He had been stuffed in a locker more than once, had a fair share of verbal taunts and had been pushed around a couple of thousand times. That never really mattered though, it just happened and he had his mother and he had Jacen so he never let it get to him the way it did other kids. Because they let him know he was loved and that he was special and the school didn’t last forever. So overall looking back at his childhood it was happy.
Really the only thing from his childhood and teen years he looked back on that still caused pain was Jacen’s accident. Not his father leaving, that was something that happened but not something that hurt. Ok, maybe it hurt a little bit but, sometimes when he was growing up he would imagine his father returning. With a story about that completely justified why he left without so much as contact. It hurt, to know his father didn’t care and that he didn’t love him.
It was only in the past few months he had been thinking about finding him, hunting him down and asking him why he left without so much as a word. Why never turned up when Nathan needed him or at his birthdays. Nathan actually had a pile of letters that he had written to his father over the years. Looking at the photo again, he smiled slightly. Maybe he missed him a little, or maybe he just wanted to talk to him yell at his. He didn't know, honestly all he knew was he wanted to find him.
