A weak smile lifted her lips and nodded her head weakly. "I do... very much." She said softly as she watched Lily nap for a moment. Her head snapped back up when he told her that his ex didn't really make him chose. She was about to beg otherwise when he started to explain. And his explanation made her heart sink because knew that the chances of Will being like that when he got back were pretty strong. She had known that there have been a lot of diagnosed cases of post traumatic stress disorder in soldiers that have been over seas or in the battlefront of wars. Iliana just hoped that Will would be an exception.
Her eyes fell to their food as she listened. She licked her lips and shook her head. "You don't have to try and reassure me, Nick... I knew the risks Will would be facing when the two of us got married. " And she got married anyways. Sometimes she really questioned whether that had been the best thing to do with him in army. And even more when she had Lily without him there. She flinched slightly when he told her not to apologize or feel bad. It made her frown, but she supposed he got enough of that kind of stuff back where he came from. She glanced up to him for a moment before she looked back down to the food, almost like a child that was being scolded for doing something wrong.
Her head lifted and deep blue pools studied him as he told her that if Will was smart, which he was, that it would take him a long way to keeping safe. "But it's not a given." She said weakly, staring at him for a moment before she looked down at her food. She suddenly wasn't all that hungry. She would just ask for a doggy bag next time Annie came by. She knew the worrying wasn't healthy, but it was hard not to worry when you knew just how dangerous it was over there. She was being realistic really. She chewed on her bottom lip before she looked back to Lily for a moment, wishing she could be the baby at the moment. Even if it were just for a couple of minutes. She would do just about anything for a few minutes of worry-free, care-free bliss.
