Mark just stood back, watching anxiously as they poked and prodded at Jared. He looked down to Ayesha as the other guy came back in and the two started to Load Jared up on the gurney. Mark waited until his father was out of the house headed for the ambulance before he turned to Ayesha.
He really didn't want to say what he was about to, but Larry needed to know... just as a precautionary thing. "I need you to call Larry Chien. He's the school's and Dad's attorney..." He said as he pulled out his wallet and routed through the folds for Larry's business card. When he finally found it, he pulled it out and just stared at it for a moment before looked to Ayesha, handing it to him.
Mark really didn't want to think about the implication calling Larry would mean. He wasn't saying that Jared was going to die, but should something happen in the ambulance or at the hospital, Mark wanted to be prepared. As much as Mark hated thinking that way he had to. He took a deep shaky breath as he put his wallet back. "Thanks, Ayesha." He said gently before he turned to go to the car so he could follow behind.

"I'll call him." Ayesha nodded. She could only hope that Larry's services as a lawyer would not be needed tonight - or anytime soon at all, but she knew he also helped out with some of the bookkeeping and other office work. It would be best if he knew that his employer wouldn't be in the office for a few days.
"Take care, and let me know when there's any news." She briefly hugged Adrianna, before she left with Markus.
Ayesha stood in the doorway much longer than it took the ambulance and the car following it to disappear from view. When she finally closed the door she leaned against it and sighed, before she surveyed the living room. It had shaped up to be such a great evening, and now this. Slowly she walked over to her chair, sat down, and stared at her full plate for a moment.
She picked up her fork and broke off a piece of lasagna, shoved it around her plate for a moment, then dropped the fork again. Instead she picked up her wine glass and gulped down the rest left there.
Ayesha couldn't quite bring herself to eat, despite being hungry, but neither could she bring herself to clean the table just yet. Somehow it didn't feel right, as if it was something that would only drive home the point of what had just happened, why her guests had all gone so suddenly.
Her eyes began to wander around the room, and it didn't take them long to fall onto the framed photos of her parents. If something happened to them... At least Mark was by his father's side, but if anything happened to her parents, Ayesha would be a continent away.
She had to swallow a lump in her throat at the thought and closed her eyes. Then she began to pray, not any common prayer, but sending her own words out, in the hope god would hear them. Neither her nor her parents were very religious people, but she had still grown up into the believe that there was something more to life than what humans could perceive or prove with science.
So tonight she prayed - for her family, her friends, and most of all for Jared Martins and the ones he loved.
