About the Character
Full name: Lucas Gabriel Cormak
Age: 16
Birthday: 4th June
Face Claim: Chase Crawford
Why You are here: Luke is an twice convicted arsonist with an affinity for fire, his parents hope the horses would calm him out
Horse: Race or Cobalt
Riding Experience: Intermediate/Expert
Riding Interest: Trail, endurance
Favorite Breed: Paint, Quarter Horses
Appearance: He is 6’1, he's a good size for a competitive rider. He mostly exercises the horses at his mothers farm, so he's a slim, muscular person. He's grown up around horses and can lift a large water bucket in each hand, which is a good skill if you're trying to impress someone. And can be pretty useful anyway. Anyway, back to what he actually looks like. His hair is rather obviously brown. He keeps it shortish. His mother used to like to cut it long, but he hated it, he used to have a go at it with a pair of scissors. His eyes are actually blue, which does go along with the families odd regime of having odd coloured eyes. Since his mother had green, his father brown and his uncle bright green. So the blue had to come from somewhere, but it was passed down to him. It is a recessive gene, so it's a mystery how he got it, without getting the blonde hair as well. Usually they come as a package, blue and blonde, but then he'd just be a walking cliche, like his sister. Tall, slim, blonde hair and blue eyes. Training to be a model, rode horses, played the harp. It was like looking into a fairy tale, and she was as ditzy as they got.
Dress sense wise, Ben goes for the simple things. Since he moves around a lot in the winter and holiday months, he lives out of a suitcase for the first week before he's already got everything out. He's not really a neat freak. But you'll find him in a shirt and pair of slightly faded old jeans around the stables. Around town you'd find him in something slightly smarter, generally a smarter shirt and a slightly less faded pair of jeans. But, at the race track, even after he's pleaded with his family, you will not find him in jeans. You'll find him in one of his dreaded suits, he hates wearing suits.

Personality [must be 2 paragraphs]: Luke is clinically insane when it comes to fire. He cannot get it out of his head, he’ll just stare at flames all day if you set him in front of it. It is his way of showing people that he is there, he will set something on fire. Something big. His favourite is buildings, preferably places where people will be. He is mildly Scitsaphrenic, but only to the extent of having a voice talking to him that he thinks is real. He doesn’t like other people and only talks to himself in private because he believes that his ‘friend’ is on the run from the police and is hiding when anyone else comes towards him, so only Luke can hear the voice. He also believes that his voice is a person called Tom and Tom tells him what to do in every circumstance. He likes the freedom that horses can bring him and has grown up on a breeding farm. His parents are rich and want the best for their son, even if he doesn’t want to do anything about it. He is resentful and very rude to anyone that he sees. His parents have tried to take him to every psychologist they can find, but the doctors can never find anything wrong with Luke except that he likes flames and fire. He doesn’t have any trouble with hurting people, he will easily just hurt someone and walk away, he doesn’t understand that other people’s feelings are taken into account. It’s not that he is insane, he is just very confused and doesn’t connect well with people. He is much better around horses, but again doesn’t have anything against hurting them. He has burnt down at least one barn before and does it to wherever he goes. Fire is a passion and riding is another. He can be very obsessive and puts in all his power to learning to ride and he won’t stop until he gets it right. He needs to know he has done a good job and ‘Tom’ doesn’t tend to help in that respect, he scolds Luke a lot, which means his self esteem is very low. He doesn’t believe he can do anything right and can get overly obsessive. He is not a people person and not an anything person.
The past
Family Tree:
Hometown: Oxford
History [must be 2 paragraphs]: Gregory and Lindsay met at a mutual friends wedding and dated for two years before getting married. Six years later, baby Max came along. He was a beautiful blonde baby that his parents liked to show off around their stable. Three years later Lucas was born. Max and Lucas were inseparable, they would ride together and you’d see them playing football until the darkness came in. This was about when Luke discovered fire. He used to sit in front of the ornate fireplace and watch the flames burn for hours. His parents just thought it was a childish fancy. When he was six he stole a box of matches from the kitchen and managed to set alight the tack room. Max helped him with this. His parents were very soft on both of them.
Then Cassandra was born. She was a perfect mother’s child and did exactly as she was told. Both the boys ignored her completely, she was just another customer to them who lived in the house. Lucas was ten when Max died. He was hit by a car whilst leading back a lame horse. This was when he started hearing the voice of Tom. He was called Tom because the horse that Max was leading was called Tom. Tom told Luke what to do, or so he thought. Luke went to boarding school when he was 12 and within two weeks had torched the gym. He was expelled and sent to another school. This lasted just three weeks before the science building came under the flame. He was told he had to be home schooled and he was. He wasn’t an unintelligent child, just messed up. He was obsessed with doing things well and Tom always told him that he could do things much better. Including riding. It was the only time he looked mildly normal on a horse. He would ride well and could ride well, but he did it alone now, or he thought Tom was there. His parents tried to send him to councilors, but they never found anything wrong. He was very closed up and not sociable, but there was nothing else wrong with him. His parents decided the only thing they could do was send him to Willow Brooke as it might draw him out with all the horses around that he didn’t know.

RP Sample [must be 2 paragraphs]: It was cold this morning and Luke had to put on an extra jumper to keep out the cold. He zipped it up as the figure by the door lounged in a chair. This was Tom, a very tall and dark nineteen year old who was on the run from the police. Or so Luke thought. In the facts of the outside world, no-one but Luke could see him. Tom was a personification for Luke, a voice in his head. Tom gestured to the door, his eyes were almost black. Go out, we need to work. His voice purred like a cat. He had a very seductive voice and it always sounded like a command to Luke. He nodded and closed the door behind him. Tom was beside him as he walked down the stairs and into the courtyard. Luke peeked up at the figure beside him, Tom’s dark glare fixed him. “What are we going to do?” Luke muttered under his breath. He shoved his hands in his pockets looking ahead of him like they did in the films so it looked like you weren’t talking to anyone. Just follow what I say. Was all that Tom replied.
Luke followed Tom into the stable yard where all the horses were eating. It was late evening, Luke checked his watch. It was almost ten o’clock and most people would be in their rooms. All the doors were closed and locked. Tom stopped in the middle in darkness. Luke stopped beside him. Do you want to stay here? Tom asked curtly, looking down at Luke like a scolding teacher. Luke shook his head and pulled up the hood of his jacket, hiding his face in the shadow. Good, because I do not wish to either. Do you have the money? Luke nodded, his hand closing around his wallet which had all the money he had managed to get together. He looked up at Tom who was always wearing the same black shirt and black jeans, he never got cold or hungry, he said they were weaknesses, but that Luke had to eat and wear warm clothes. Tom nodded and turned his head towards one of the barns.
