She smiled a bit, “I could never do a job I didn’t enjoy.” Which was true, she had a few jobs as a teenager and she had to quit when she didn’t enjoy them. She felt that if you didn’t get some enjoyment from your job you couldn’t do the best you could do. Adrianna enjoyed working with the horses, it wasn’t always easy, but really it wasn’t her helping the horses so much as the horses helping her. Seeing a happy ending gave her hope for herself.
Listening to Ayesha as she spoke more about her parents she smiled, thinking... “Well my guess is I probably won’t be able to guess...” she laughed a bit, “But I will try, since you involved Lasagna” She thought for a few minutes then gave her first guess, “Mexican?” she looked curiously, then followed that with her last two guesses “African..” pausing once more ... “or maybe Portuguese?” She exhausted all her efforts, she was no good as guessing peoples origins. But she didn’t mind playing along.
Adrianna also appreciated Ayesha not further prying; she knew she probably left it obvious that there were deeper issues going on. However, they were things she preferred not to talk about. She was good at pushing them away and hiding them from herself, and she could be happy here now. It was almost like this place was really an escape for her, an escape from the movie she felt like she had been in.
Adrianna also knew that she should deal with her emotions, but last time she tried to ‘deal’ with them she watched herself spiral out of control, so she figure it was better to push them away and maintain the control that she had over them.
