That head of dirty blond hair shook gently at her offer of becoming a bouncer. "I'm not much of a bouncer, but I'm sure you could find someone to fill that position quick enough. Probably won't even need one if the town sheriff visits you on a regular basis like he used to back when your dad ran this place." He said gently as he took a sip at his drink . Most of the kids wouldn't be too much trouble. Some of them pretty much didn't cause trouble, although there were always exceptions to that fact, and they were always watched a little more carefully than the other students. "If any of the students ever cause trouble though, don't hesitate to give our cabin a call and let us know. Dad always comes up with good duties for punishment." In this case, Mark definitely spoke from experience. He remembered many a nights where his dad made him muck the stalls of the unassigned horses and haul the manure to the manure pile they sold for fertilizer. Mark's least favorite chore when it came to horses.
He let out a grunt and shook his head gently when she asked if he'd like a refill. "No. Got to drive a load of tack supplies up to the camp. I just thought I'd stop in for a quick drink and check the place out. " He said with a grin. This place was the current talk of the town, and when something else big happened, The Waterin' Hole would be history and Annabelle could just get on with her business work without having to worry about the gossip so much. "You are, after all, the talk of the town right now." He said with a teasing grin as he finished off his drink.

"Yes, you are right. I don't expect too many problems." There weren't many troublemakers in town, and if someone stepped out of line she could always threaten to ban them from the bar for a week or two. That would give most people cause to reconsider their behavior, and if everything else failed, Annabelle carried some pepper spray in her handbag. She never had to use it, but a girl had to be careful and take a few sensible precautions. Buying another can and keeping it behind the bar was something she still had to do and she added it to a mental list of things to take care of soon, just in case.
Annabelle handed Mark pen and paper. "Just leave me your number and I'll certainly call you, if one of your students gives me trouble."
She nodded when he mentioned that he had to get back to the camp and smiled sweetly at him when he said she was the talk of the town right now. Annabelle wouldn't have wanted it any other way, as she just plain loved to be the center of attention, even if not all the talk about her was positive. At least people talked about her. And once the novelty of the 'new' Waterin' Hole had worn off, she would find something else to stay the focus of attention. Perhaps an expensive sports car to drive around town and make her stand out from the crowd, or what passed for a crowd in Brooke Haven.
"I hope now that you have seen the place you will come back for another drink one day. I'll keep rum and coke ready for you. As for this one," she pointed at his now empty glass, "it's on the house. Call it a welcoming gift to the new Waterin' Hole."

He smiled and nodded his head gently before he dug into his back pocket and pulled out his wallet. He opened it up and pulled out a card from the bill fold . It was a business card for the school. It had three numbers on it as well as the school logo and a fax number and the street address of the camp. "The first number is dad's office, the second our home phone, and the third is dad's cell and of course, the fax." He said gently as he set it on the bar and pushed it towards her.
He smiled and gave a slight nod of his head. "I'll be sure to spread the news around for you as well." He said gently, studying her. He thought he might have caught a hint of excitement in her face earlier when he mentioned that she's all talk around town right now. Some of it may have not necessarily been nice little chit chat. Some of it was some serious gossip, but Mark would keep his mouth shut for the moment. He remembered one of his childhood friend's mom mention how Annabelle Sheridan had been a bit of an attention hog. He wasn't sure if she would care if it was idle gossip or just harmless chit chat.
He looked to the drink the empty glass then back up to her. "Oh, no. I insist on paying." He said as he pulled out some cash and set it on the bar. "Keep the change." He said with a grin as he stood and slipped on his jacket, not bothering to . He looked to Annabelle, smiling faintly. "Itwas a pleasure meeting you, Miss Sheridan, and I hope you have a good evening."
